Govt to blame for rise of militancy: Khaleda
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said that militancy rise in the country as the government is failed to rule the country.

She also alleged that government is blaming the opposition leaders as they are failed to catch the real masterminds.

“The incidents of secret killings and sudden attacks have increased in an alarming rate. All the citizens are concerned about their security,” she said.

The BNP leader came up with the allegations while addressing the founding anniversary of Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (Jagpa) at Institution of Engineers in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

“We want security of the people. But they are saying it is not possible to ensure security for all. They said those to avoid the responsibility,” she added.

Mentioning about PM Hasina’s son Joy’s case, Khaleda said, “What is that case? One Bangladeshi youth bribed an agent of FBI to get some information about the prime minister’s son.”

“They never say about 300 million dollar was in an account of the prime minister’s son. But it was mentioned in the
case document,” the BNP chief added.

Khaleda also alleged that journalist Shafik Rehman was tortured in the remand in order to intimidate him to conceal the scam of the prime minister’s son.

She also asks the government to resolve the ongoing crisis through discussion.
