Awami League’s Hasan demands filing of criminal case against BNP chief Khaleda
The Awami League Publicity Secretary General Hasan Mahmud has demanded filing of criminal case against Khaleda Zia for her remarks in the BNP’s national council against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the next election, which allegedly smacked of conspiracy.

At a discussion in Dhaka on Monday he said, Khaleda had sought an election without Hasina at the council.

“What type of conspiracy is it? Does she want another Aug 21? Investigation is essential to know about it,” he said.

BNP chief Khaleda Zia again raised the demand for an election under caretaker government at the party council and also appealed to the government to hold discussions over it.

The media reported that at the closed-door meeting, Khaleda had said the next election would be hold ‘without Hasina.’

Criminal case should be filed against Khaleda, Hasan said.

Suspension of direct cargo flight between Dhaka and London, ATM card cloning, cyber heist of BB reserves were connected and a part of a conspiracy, he said in the meeting, organised by the Freedom Fighter Generation League to commemorate Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary.

BNP, which believed in Pakistan’s ideologies, was behind this conspiracy, the Awami League leader alleged.

“It is hard to believe that those who can appoint lobbyist in USA spending $25 million to save the war criminals have no connection with the hackers who stole multi-million dollar.”
He said reserve theft is under investigation and soon the face of the accused would be revealed.

Criticizing Khaleda’s ‘vision-2030’, the former minister said she presented it without discussing with any other leader of the party.

He also mocked that BNP’s standing committee was a two-member body.

“No one is there except mother and son. The vice chairman is an international thief. Never leaders were elected in Bangladesh politics before the council.”

Hasan said the next election would be held in 2019 under the ruling Awami League government and Khaleda Zia would take part in that election.

The Awame League leader said BNP’s condition would be ‘like Muslim League’ if it refrained from elections

He said Khaleda should save her party.

Freedom Fighter Generation League President Asaduzzaman Durjoy presided over the meeting.
